Hi Gals & guys, Up for some Labrish? The CFDA 2009 (Council of Fashion Designers of America) put on quite a fashion show at The Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall that recently got a make over by Diller Scofidio & Renfro, and is now a definite Up Do! This was the perfect venue to display all who were fashionably attired for this auspicious occasion. The night was about honoring creativity and what other adjective can one use to describe designers? The minds that dream visions of delicate fabrics, beautiful colors, stitch them together and enhance bodies of all shapes and sizes…Their visions have incredible reach and these truly gifted individuals are to be honored and appreciated. The designers came decked in their own labels, armed by a very dapper and affable movie star, model and socialite—The gowns and dresses created and worn depicted pure genius. Is it a wonder there are now awards for a group of people who make us look good? Some of the designers receiving and giving awards were Donna Karan, Marc Jabobs, Ralph lauren, Michael Kors, Nicole Miller, Diane Von Frustenberg, Jason Wu, Marc Bouwer, Kenneth Cole, Narciso Rodriguez, Italo Zucchelli, Anna Sui, Tory Bruch, Rachel Roy, Tracy Reece, Vivienne Tam, Betsy Johnson, Erin Fetherston, Franciso Costa, Vera Wang, Brian Atwood, Laura & Kate Mulleavy to name a few. And What About Ryan’s Roses (Ryan Seacrest)- What’s the latest DRAMA there?
Nancy and Mark have been married for 5 years and Mark is having an affair with Deanna. Another marriage busted! It’s only been 5 years, it doesn’t seem so long and it’s also a marriage that is childless so that pressure and responsibility is not a factor; so what causes such a catastrophic rift in a relationship that is boundless when it comes to romantic possibilities? So a few questions come to mind. a) Did these two get married too soon or too late? I don’t know how long Mark and Nancy dated before marriage. The dating time could be a factor. b) Has Mark always been a "playa", has he always had multiple relationships simultaneously? c) Are they completely incompatible? Many people do not believe in the horoscope playing a part in compatibility but is it a factor for many of us? Clearly this should be considered, (my opinion) because some people just don’t get along— different views on most topics you can imagine, bluntness, sensitivity, prudishness, vulgarity, insecurity and boldness. Of course the way you were raised and where you come from are always underlying factors. However, there are some signs that are just better matched—personalities aligned based on when one is born; this I believe should be considered before the huge commitment of marriage. In any case, we may never know why the rift happened in this marriage and why an interloper was invited in that has further damaged and may end the marriage, however, if there are problems that causes a spouse to have affairs, is it not best to lead separate lives?
