There are companies who understand a timeless precept - Dress for success! Whether you are looking to get ahead in your organization or trying to get in the door, your clothing will have significant impact on whether or not you get there.  The object of dressing professionally is generally understood, however, knowing what is figure appropriate, age appropriate and pulling an overall look together is where some people find some challenges and show up to work, interview or business meetings off-kilter.

Attending an interview one should always be professionally attired; a suit should be worn (for women - pants, skirt or a dress/jacket) ensembles are acceptable. You do not want to show up in a very casual/casual Friday attire. This look will put off your prospective employer. Males should always wear a suit and tie unless the position is at staff level or lower, for which a nicely pressed shirt/pant and tie is acceptable.  Avoid bright glaring colors for interviews or business meetings. Keep it sleek and understated.  Although for males statement ties show confidence and someone who is willing to take risks; a good business acumen.

At work, your daily wardrobe can include all colors and can/should be a repertoire of varying styles because it is your home away from home where your personality is generally accepted and being comfortable is important for your success but the air of total professionalism should remain intact.
