ShI ShI TREND 09
Spring 2009 beckons/entices with designs that are languorous, fluid and feline. The new year brings a new Presidency in Washington and a sense of optimism among the young and young-at-heart. Style trends perfectly reflect the pulse of our time – bold yet pacific, a sense of urgency balanced by imperturbability. These featured pieces run the gamut of designers including Stella McCartney, Max Azria, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Venata, Oscar de la Renta, Carlos Miele, Monique Lhuillier, Christian Lacroix, Naeem Khan, Narciso Rodriguez, Missoni, Todd Lynn, Marc Jacobs, Versace and Gucci, among others. The designs underscore elegance and comfort; cuts are form-fitting but not tight, loose fitting while hugging the right curves. Designers pay tribute to the 70’s, 80’s and the 90’s and still manage to create looks that seem new and refreshing. The women who will wear these designs will feel completely sated. Looking at the various collections and choosing some favorites was quite difficult because the pieces were all so beguiling. Choosing gave me a renewed appreciation for the wonderful talents who have crafted these bravura creations. Enjoy and Happy Trend Sporting!
